Defense Missions
Every mission is wargamed on real terrain, marked with standard friendly and hostile symbols, and ends in a pass or fail.

Recommend COA 3, light concealment. It delivers 22 of 24, the same as the direct route, with less exposure and a harder target for the enemy to locate, at a cost of 3.7 minutes on average. Pushing recon out to the flank protects the mothership best, but delivery drops to about half.
Failure rules: entering a real minefield, missing the 60-minute golden hour, or losing every drone and the link before the casualty is found. Every figure opens the replay and state-stream hash of that run.

Mission briefs

Casualty evacuation: UGV mothership with eight drones in shifts
- Situation
- Casualty location unknown; trenches, minefields, and enemy observation posts and patrols that move.
- Mission
- Find the casualty and reach the aid station within 60 minutes.
- Execution
- Four drones scout while four recharge on the mothership; drones fly arcs so they don’t give the vehicle away; every report triggers an immediate replan.
- Pass/fail
- A mine strike, running out of time, or losing all drones and the link is a fail.

Maritime watch: read intent from the track
- Situation
- Tens of thousands of AIS reports a day around Taiwan; suspicious behaviour hides in normal traffic.
- Mission
- Flag likely seabed survey, AIS going dark, and loitering in sensitive waters, automatically.
- Execution
- Slow speed, survey-line zigzags, towing declarations and restricted manoeuvrability each score points; every flag carries its reasons and the other likely explanations.
- Pass/fail
- Duty officers decide whether to intercept; ZERO supplies the grounds.

Base air defence: how many come in, how many you stop
- Situation
- Commercial drones arrive in swarms, routes and numbers unknown; terrain and buildings block sensor lines of sight.
- Mission
- Lay out the most effective detection, tracking and interception within budget.
- Execution
- Multi-sensor hand-off tracking, live threat ranking and interceptor assignment; a full 200-drone wave is wargamed to find where leakers get through.
- Pass/fail
- Scored on leakers across the wave and on reaction time.

Runway repair priority: get aircraft airborne sooner
- Situation
- Craters and unexploded ordnance across the runway; repair crews and equipment are limited.
- Mission
- Open a minimum operating strip in the shortest time.
- Execution
- Drone teams survey craters by sector; ZERO orders repairs by size, position and equipment.
- Pass/fail
- Scored on the time the first aircraft can take off.

Mixed fleet coordination: use whatever you have
- Situation
- Units field different drones, ground and surface vehicles, each operated on its own.
- Mission
- Turn them into one task force that can hand off to each other.
- Execution
- Roles are assigned by capability; if any vehicle drops out, others carry the mission on.
- Pass/fail
- Scored on mission completion, not individual survival.
